The house in 'Tira'

Home for girls from religious families

“The House in the Castle” is a framework for girls aged 14-18 from the ultra-Orthodox and national religious sector, located in the Valley of the Springs in Kibbutz Tirat Zvi.

We believe that the bridge for every girl lies in a real and meaningful interpersonal connection. The guiding principle of our home is to build a “personal suit” tailored to each girl and girl that includes an emotional, behavioral and educational response.

The house is accompanied by a dedicated treatment team that includes a social worker who is also skilled in family therapy and caregivers: art, therapeutic riding, animals, reflexology and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. The house is aided by the language of D.B.T- dialectical behavioral therapy.

For girls, a personalized curriculum is adapted for a 12-year certificate and a full matriculation certificate. Some of the girls, are integrated into the high schools in the area

Personal Empowerment

It is important for us to empower the girls in a variety of areas: music-playing, voice development, working in a musical ensemble, art, movement, theater, gym and more. The girls are integrated into classes that take place in the regional community center or in groups that take place within the framework of the home.
Our girls volunteer in the community and are highly valued.

Referrals to the home are made through a youth law social worker, a family social worker or a girls’ social worker.
